Cannes Film Festival

Cannes Film Festival was founded on 1946 and the festival celebrated in Cannes, France.

2014:    WINTER SLEEP by Nuri Bilge CEYLAN won the Palme d'or.
2013:    The French film “Blue Is the Warmest Colour” won the Palme d'Or.
2012:    Best Film (Palme’d or): Love/Amour (Austria) directed by Michael Haneke.
2011:    ‘The Tree of Life’ won Golden Palm Award for Best Film directed by Terrence Malick (USA).
2010:    Golden Palm Award for Best Film won by Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives (Thailand).
2009:    Golden Palm Award for Best Film won by The White Ribbon (Austria) directed by Michael Haneke.
2008:    Golden Palm Award for Best Film won by Entre Les Murs or The Class (French film) directed by Laurent Cantet (Britain).

Cannes Film Festival-2014

Actor filmmaker Kamal Haasan led the Indian delegation at the 67th Cannes International Film Festival inaugurated in Cannes, France on 14 May 2014.
Kamal Haasan is chairman of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Media and Entertainment Committee-South. Kamal Haasan inaugurated the Indian Pavilion. The India Pavilion will showcase Indian cinema across linguistic, cultural and regional diversity.
